Lesson of the day: Drawing is never about seeking approval. You are what you are. My art is what I make it to be. I am not perfect, because no one is perfect. Even the best artists seek improvement all the time. The difference is they seek improvement inwardly. The only person they seek approval from is themselves. I will remember this and strive to only impress myself and regard outside compliments as just neutral praise. Do yourself a favor and liberate yourself from flaw and just draw to make art :)

I got an adorable letter in the mail today from my little sister. :) She is requesting that I draw her and Ouroboros (sp) so I said yes of course and am finishing the detailing it now. Its a dragon because well, I like dragons more than snakes. :p As soon as I finish I'll put a copy on here. I must say it looks awesome!!! I think I will start drawing more in depth pictures. For example I have another piece I am currently working on that is a scene from Stardust (my favorite movie) much more epic than my other works because there are two characters featured and it is a "scene" rather than just a character posing. Both of these will be up soon.

So, recently I returned to my art. I have not been doing any art related "stuff" for over three years now. Sad I know.. But return I have and i am really happy that i did. You see i am in a transition stage of my life. I just moved to Orlando and would like to attend UCF for French. However, I am now presented with a new idea: double major in Art and French. you see, I like to create characters. I love giving them names and classes and such. In fact, when I play a RPG and the character design is super customizable (like say Skyrim) I like to just sit there and toy with the effects and see what kind of characters I can dream up.
